Wicklow Mountains Magic - Walking Short Break (REF: WSB08)

Out from the very doorstep of Ireland’s capital, Dublin, stretches a vast area, which can only be described as a wonderland. Wicklow, a wild and ancient landscape, is rich in magnificent domed granite mountains and purple glens, soft rolling hills and silvery streams. The Wicklow Mountains are the largest mountainous area in Ireland and offer a great natural diversity. From sea level on the east coast, the land rises to the majestic Wicklow Mountain range, which also contains Ireland’s largest National Park.

What’s included: One guided mountain- or nature walk including the exploration of an ancient passage grave on the top of ‘Seefin’ mountain, dating from about 2000 BC. Led by a qualified and experienced walking leader, this walk will be at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to enjoy the countryside. No experience necessary.

Optional fun nature activities en-route.

2 nights self-catering accommodation in one of our comfortable holiday homes (sharing). Set in 240 acres of rugged mountain country and mature woodland, each house is rustic and spacious and equipped to Irish Tourist Board (Fáilte Ireland) 4* standard. Gas and electricity charges are included.

Wicklow High & Wild – Adventure Short Break (REF: ASB08)

This break has been specially designed for lovers of the Great Outdoors who look for a fun and adventurous time out with a difference. One full day of activities… High & Low Ropes Course, Sky Trek, Zip Wire – there is not a dull moment to be had. Non-stop adventure! No experience necessary.

What’s included: High Ropes - Ireland’s only ropes course set in mature woodland, overlooking stunning mountain scenery.

Climbing & Abseiling - making it to the top of our state-of-the-art climbing tower and taking in the stunning views of the Wicklow Mountains is a real exhilaration.
