LAW AND ORDER COMES TO  WICKLOW GAOL

Actress Diane Neal, star of US hit TV show ‘Law and Order SVU’, paid a special visit to Wicklow Gaol this week as part of her holiday to Co. Wicklow.

Diane, who plays Casey Novak on the popular show, dropped into the eighteenth century prison where she heard stories of horror about the crime and cruelty of the jail at that time.

She described her visit as ‘absolutely fantastic’, commenting that the tour of the reportedly haunted jail took her breath away.

Upon entering the building, visitors are transported back in time to come face to face with some of the most notorious characters to have walked the floors of this dramatic building.

Wicklow Gaol was in the spotlight recently as the US show ‘Ghosthunters International’ spent the night in the spooky cells and corridors seeking out spirits of the former convicts and prison guards, with some dramatic results!

The Gaol will also be the setting for monthly overnight ghost hunts with psychic and medium Angie Freeland, with members of the public invited to come and investigate the ghostly happenings.
