RATHDRUM FIREWORKS FESTIVAL LIGHTS UP THE SKY THIS
SUMMER

Wicklow County Tourism is pleased to
announce that a very special event will take place in
Parnell Memorial Park, Rathdrum on the 7th August 2008.
In a spectacular show that is set to light up the skies
in and around Rathdrum, the annual Rathdrum Fireworks
Festival will take off with a bang. Not only will there
be a dazzling array of pyrotechnics for all the family
to enjoy, there will also be music to entertain in the
park prior to the event itself.
This is a dedicated fireworks festival so you can be
sure of the best fireworks display that you will see
along the length and breadth of Ireland. The Parnell
Memorial Park will be filled with many hundreds of
spectators and there will also be some musical
entertainment on in the Market Square.
The fun kicks off in Parnell Memorial Park on the
evening of Thursday, 7th August, with the main show
itself taking off at approximately 10pm. This unique
event is a dedicated fireworks festival, promising a
feast for the eyes and great fun for all the family.
The display will be preceded by open-air music, with a
performance by The Cantons on the Market Square. This
event attracts hundreds of visitors to the town every
year and this event can be enjoyed by people of all
ages. As part of the event, a Monster Festival Bingo
will take place in the RDA hall on Friday, 8th August
with many prizes.
On Sunday, 10th August a car boot sale will take place
in the car park of Parnell Memorial Park.
