HALLOWEEN FUN IN WICKLOW!

A whole host of fun, spooky and
ghoulish Halloween activities are set to take place in
Co. Wicklow this October for all the family to enjoy.
A Pumpkin Train and Fancy Dress Event will take place in
Rathwood Home, Gift and Garden World from Saturday,
24th October to Saturday, 31st October at 11am and 3pm.
Get aboard the Pumpkin Train and celebrate Halloween in
spooky fancy dress! Tickets are €10 per child and €3 for
adults. Booking is essential.
Adults can also participate in the cooking class,
‘Halloween Brack and Christmas Pudding’ on 24th October
from 3-4pm, and learn to bake the perfect barmbrack and
pud!
Children’s Halloween Activities will take place in
Festina Lente Garden, Bray from the 28th – 30th
October. Collect pumpkins from the garden and make your
own Halloween mask. €20 per child.
You can also get involved in the kitchen at
Ballyknocken Cookery School’s Children’s Halloween
Cookery Class on 31st October from 2.30pm – 4.30pm and
have some spooky fun in the kitchen.
There is plenty to do in
Wicklow’s Historic Gaol from the 23rd to the 31st
October:
Friday, 23rd: Screening of Ghost Hunters International
(free), followed by a tour of the Gaol (E10)
Saturday, 24th: Scary movie night in the Gaol. 8pm, E5
per person
Sunday, 25th: Scary Sunday Jail Break – event for
families to ‘break out’ of the jail, with prizes for
winners
Monday, 26th: Ghost and Ghoul Night – 7-8.30pm, weird
and wonderful tales of ghosts in the dungeon, cells and
work rooms €7.30 adult, €4.30 per child
Tuesday, 27th: Haunted History night – a dramatic
production. Re-enactment of some of the crimes of
Wicklow Gaol, 8.30pm. €10 per person
Wednesday, 28th: Angel readings by psychic Angie Freeman
Thursday, 29th: Night tour of the Gaol
Friday, 30th: Paranormal investigation in the Gaol
Saturday, 31st: Halloween Horror Night – Fancy Dress
Event, supper and dancing. Old fashioned Halloween
Games, party surprises. Adults only, commences 9pm. E50
per person.
Saturday 31st/Sunday 1st: Daytime programme – a full
family programme will take place from 11am on both days
to 4.30pm.
