EXCITING LINEUP REVEALED FOR 26TH DUNLAVIN FESTIVAL OF
ARTS

The line up for the much-anticipated
Dunlavin Festival of Arts, which takes place from
Friday, 20th to Sunday, 22nd June has been revealed.
With a spectacular mix of music, street carnival and
theatre, visitors to the stunning village of Dunlavin
will be treated to a weekend like no other.
The Dunlavin Festival of Arts is held over the third
weekend of each June, when the village of Dunlavin is
taken over by a number of events to entertain both young
and old. Entertainment runs for three days from morning
to late at night.
Daytime Events include art exhibitions, live music,
street theatre, workshops, craft fair, parade, funfair,
face painting, horse and dog shows, and much more.
Nighttime events include music recitals (classical and
choral), live bands (traditional and pop), dancing, and
other miscellaneous entertainment.
The opening of the Art Exhibitions takes place on the
first evening of the festival. Three galleries show
invited pieces from professional artists and art
students, while local and emergent artists are also
welcome to exhibit their work.
Programme of Events
Friday 20th June:
19.00 - Official opening of art and photographic
exhibitions by Ingrid Miley (RTE) followed by live music
in the Market House
19.00 - Funfair on Dunlavin Green. Music entertainment
in the pubs
21.30 - Set Dance Ceili in the Jonathan Swift Hall.
Refreshments served. Proceeds to St. Brigid's Hospice
Saturday 21st June:
12.00 - Exhibitions open
15.00 - Children's Theatre 'Androcles and the Lion' in
the Imaal Hall
16.30 - Dog Show at Cow Green
20.00 - Classical concert in the Market House with
Eleanor Dawson (flute) and Song Circle Choir
21.00 - Bingo at Imaal Hall
22.00 - Music in the pubs
Sunday 22nd June:
12.00 - Exhibitions open
12.00 - Craft Fair in Imaal Hall
14.00 - Street Parade
14.00 - Horse Show in Logatryna
14.00 - Farmers' Market
15.00 - Street Music
15.00 - Woodcarving and ironworks and displays in Old
Schoolhouse Grounds
15.00 - Ceili Workshop in market Square
15.00 - Life Drawing Exhibition with Michael Rowley
20.00 - Concert in Rathsallagh Golf Club with acoustic
guitar duo Tucan
22.00 - Music in the pubs
