PUMPKIN PARTIES AT BALLYKNOCKEN
COOKERY SCHOOL THIS HALLOWEEN

Issued 4th September 2008
Wicklow County Tourism members
Ballyknocken Cookery School will be holding festive
cookery courses for kids this Halloween.
“Get the kids involved and they are more likely to eat
some real food before digging into the gut-rotting,
tooth-gnashing coloured sweets collected” says
Catherine, Chef/Proprietor at Ballyknocken Cookery
School.
This fun cookery course for kids will be held on
Saturday 25th of October 2008 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and
will cover both fun and spooky recipes including
everything from Scary Spiders and Witches Brew to
Colcannon and Pumpkin Bread.
Catherine will share some of the Ballyknocken Halloween
traditional treats with the children who will return
home complete with a suite of Halloween recipes to cook.
Catherine says, “Let’s face it, it’s no fun if the
grown-ups keep hampering with the joy of indulging in
the sweet treats of Halloween, the secret is fill them
up on “real food” before they start and then let them go
a little nuts – they’ll love you all the more!”
