BALLYKNOCKAN MUSIC FESTIVAL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHARITY

Issued 23rd July 2008
The Ballyknockan Music Festival is an
annual festival featuring both local and National bands,
based in the spectacular setting of Ballyknockan – “The
Granite Village” on the shores of the Blessington Lakes.
The festival now in its 5th year, is a charity event,
raising funds for an adolescent cancer centre at Our
Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin in Dublin.
The festival is hosted by the Ballyknockan Inn, a
legendary music venue in West Wicklow featuring live
bands every weekend of the year.
This year's festival will take place on the weekend of
25th, 26th and 27th July and it is hoped, will be the
biggest yet. There are two stages this year and we are
hoping to offer camping close by for the first time.
Things get under way on Friday 25th at 7pm and on
Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th at 2pm.
The organisers would like to thank all the bands who
have already offered their services for this year's
Fest. Things are looking good for a great line up for
the most up and coming charity festival in the country.
