EXCITING EVENTS AT AVONDALE HOUSE THIS MONTH!

Wicklow County Tourism members Avondale House Forest Park will hold a special event on Sunday, 13th July, when the Nether Stowe Jazz and Wind Band will play in the grounds. The band is a visiting group of seventy students, said to be one of the top school bands. They will play outdoors from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Visitors can bring their own picnic or visit the ‘Kitchen Café’ for afternoon tea. Admission to view the band is free. Parking fee in place.

Avondale House will also host a period cricket match on Sunday, 17th July 2008. Entry to the grounds is €5, including parking, with free entry to the match.

Come play cricket with the Parnell family, meet their servants and neighbours all in costume and join in the fun cricket match popular in the 1880s. Characters are the members of the Northern Period Production Company. You can also enjoy Afternoon Tay and listen to the music.
