POWERSCOURT GARDENS

Powerscourt includes beautiful Italian,
Japanese and walled gardens, herbaceous borders and a famous
collection of trees. It is one of the last formal gardens to
have been created in Europe. Powerscourt Waterfall is the
highest in Ireland (121m) and is 5km from the formal
gardens. Powerscourt House, a Palladian mansion dating from
1730 now incorporates an innovative shopping experience and
terrace cafe overlooking the gardens.
Directions: On the outskirts of Enniskerry
Village. Travelling south on N11 take exit for
Bray/Greystones and follow signs. Travelling North on N11
take turn for Enniskerry.
Open: Daily all year except for 25th and
26th December from 9.30am - 5.30pm (summer) and 9.30am -
dusk (winter). Ballroom and Garden Rooms open Sundays from
9.30am - 1.30pm all year.
Admission: Adults €8, students/seniors €7,
Children (5-16) €5 and under 5 free of charge.
