NUN'S CROSS SCHOOL
Actively gardened by pupils, parents,
gardener and teachers. Run on organic principals. Engages
children in seed sowing, growing and harvesting vegetables
and general upkeep. Willow house, native hedgerow, plants
for butterflies, bees and other insects. Small pond,
vegetable beds managed by different classes.
Directions: From the roundabout in Ashford
take road for Glendalough, continue for 300m take left fork,
continue for 1.5km take right fork. School on right after
Church.
