and unspoilt countryside. Magnificent domed granite
mountains and rolling hills swathed in purple heather,
secret valleys and ancient woodland - the dramatic beauty of
this stunning landscape is simply enchanting. Situated right
in the heart of it all is Kippure Estate. Privately set in
240 acres of lush pastures and peaceful forest, this
inspiring location has attracted numerous Hollywood
filmmakers over the years; scenes from Braveheart, The
Devil’s Own and Dancing at Lughnasa were filmed on Kippure
Estate. The River Liffey forms the natural border between
the estate and Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Our unique wedding venue and function rooms are perfect for
weddings up to 120 people. Attractively designed, the rooms
feature wooden flooring and natural light.
Exclusive use of your wedding facilities
As we hold only one wedding per day you can be guaranteed of
our undivided attention. Because you have exclusive use of
the estate on your big day, Kippure Estate is considered to
be one of Ireland's more unusual and exclusive wedding
venues.

prefer to tailor your day to suit your specific requirements
and your budget.
Your wedding menu - a feast for all senses
Our chef has created sumptuous wedding menus for you to
choose from. We offer great flexibility and pride ourselves
on being able to offer superb food to suit all tastes,
whatever they may be: a sumptuous 6-course meal, a delicious
hot or cold buffet; or maybe a mouth-watering BBQ is more
your style? If you are looking for something really unique,
there's nothing quite like roast pig on a spit to give your
meal the WOW factor and have your guests talking about it

menu you choose, you can be assured that you and your guests
will be treated to freshly prepared, delicious food using
only the finest local produce and a service that is second

Just the place for the craic
Our residents bar and lounge with two open log fires has
that kind of easy air for which rural Ireland was once
famous. It’s a mixture of informality, genuine friendliness
and an old-fashioned welcome. For your reception you can
choose from our extensive wine and champagne list. Our
fully-licensed bar is also well stocked with a large variety
of spirits and beers. A bar extension can be granted until
2am.
Accommodation
We can accommodate up to 120 of your guests in our
guesthouse and 4**** holiday homes. The holiday homes are
adjacent to each other so bride and groom, families and
friends can maintain their privacy, yet all stay within
seconds of each other and the reception room. Reduced
accommodation rates available for our guests.
Marquee weddings
Why not hire a marquee for the event if planning a summer
wedding? For larger weddings, there is a dedicated and
specially prepared area (landscaped and connected to water
and electricity supply) within the estate where a marquee
can be erected for your wedding reception. Here, whilst
celebrating your special day, your guests will be richly
rewarded with splendid views.
