GLENCREE CENTRE FOR RECONCILIATION

Set at the head of Wicklow's stunning
Glencree Valley and on the Wicklow Way this former 19th
Century British Army Barracks brings you a range of
attractive facilities in a tranquil and beautiful setting.
Glencree possesses an atmosphere all of it's own. Just
twelve miles from Dublin, a visit here offers you beautiful
countryside, historic buildings, local arts and crafts, and
a taste of fine Irish home cooking when you drop into the
New
Armoury Restaurant. Open 7 days a week. Coach Tours and
Private Parties welcome – seating for 100 people.
Glencree has 19 bedrooms that can
accommodation up to 62 people in multi bedded rooms all of
which are en suite and very tastefully and individual
decorated. Most of the bedrooms are thematically decorated,
furnished and funded by Embassies and their staff such as
the Australian, German, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and
Austria & South Africa.
More recently the International Fund for Ireland funded and
upgraded 7 twin bedded all en suite rooms & decorated and
furnished to a very high two star hotel standard with
tea/coffee facilities in the bedrooms.
All bed linen is supplied along with comfortable social
space with a TV and play station which was gratefully
received from Sony Ireland on behalf of the Japanese
Embassy.
All groups are welcome: backpackers, businesses, teams,
community groups, cyclists, walkers, etc. Glencree
accommodation is ideal for nature-lovers, for special
corporate away-days, and even for weddings!
Meals are provided at the Armoury Cafe, a traditional
restaurant and craft shop located in one of the historic

Staying overnight at the Glencree Centre is an exceptional
and magical experience.
The fresh air and the breathtaking views of Sugarloaf
Mountain and the Glencree Valley will put you in a different
frame of mind and lead you to new perspectives.
